A Standard commission usually takes around 3 weeks, depending on size, complexity, number of subjects and my current schedule. If you need it sooner, Priority (7–10 days) and Express (3–5 days) options are available when I have space.

Once decisions have been made regarding size, number of subjects, any background requirements and timeframe, I can then provide an hourly figure of how long the commission will take to complete.
All portraits are hand-drawn with care, and each commission is booked on a first-come, first-served basis. If you'd like to secure a slot or ask any questions, feel free to message me - I'd love to create something special for you.

These are guide prices — detailed backgrounds, more subjects or a different size will change the time involved. UK postage is £4 for standard delivery or £5.50 for 1–2 day delivery, or local collection in Devon is free. You'll always get a confirmed estimate before anything is booked.

Priority and Express slots are limited and depend on how busy I am at the time. If you're hoping for a quicker turnaround, feel free to message me and I'll check my schedule for you.

I require a 50% deposit to secure your slot in my schedule. If you need to cancel once the drawing has started, I only keep the part of the deposit that covers the hours I've already worked, at your agreed hourly rate — the rest is refunded. For example, with a £100 deposit at the Standard rate of £15 per hour, cancelling after 3 hours' work means I keep £45 and refund £55. If you cancel before I've started drawing, your deposit is refunded in full.

The final balance becomes payable upon completion of the work and confirmation of your satisfaction, prior to shipping or collection.

Yes. Separate photographs can often be combined into one composition and this is something I have done on many occasions.

To ensure accuracy, all photos must be unaltered and free from filters — edited or filtered images can distort features and make the final portrait less true to life.

Angles, lighting and composition are considered first, and a rough mock-up will be provided for you to agree upon before securing the commission.

Throughout the drawing process I will send photo updates directly to you to keep you updated on your commission's progress.

At this point you can specify any small tweaks that you would like made. Any major changes may incur further time and cost.

I don’t offer a framing service — all portraits are supplied unframed so you can choose a frame that best suits your home and style.

If you’re unsure what type of frame to go for, I’m happy to suggest sizes or finishes that complement your portrait.

I love celebrating finished portraits by sharing them on my website or social pages — most people really enjoy seeing their artwork showcased, and it’s always lovely to show others what I’ve been creating.

If you’d prefer your portrait to stay private, you can tell me whenever feels right for you — when booking, during the drawing process, or even once the portrait is finished. Your comfort always comes first, and I’ll happily keep your piece offline.

Most commissions are drawn on A3 paper, which suits one or two subjects beautifully. Other sizes can be discussed — just let me know what you have in mind and I'll advise on what will work best for your photo and number of subjects.

Once we've agreed the details, I'll send you an invoice for the 50% deposit with my bank details, and payment is made by bank transfer. The balance is invoiced when your portrait is finished and you're happy with it, before it's posted or collected.

Christmas is my busiest time of year and slots fill up quickly. Last order dates for Standard, Priority and Express commissions are posted on my Facebook and Instagram pages, so please check there or message me to secure your slot. If you've left it late, a gift voucher makes a lovely last-minute present.

Yes! I offer gift vouchers, perfect for birthdays, Christmas or any special occasion. You can choose any amount, and the recipient can redeem it against a custom piece whenever they’re ready within 12 months (and I'm happy to extend if they need longer).
